Peel Bond Strength Testing :- Peel resistance is the ability of a material to resist forces that can pull it apart by separating one surface from the other. The equipment determines the strength required to separate fabric with interlining/fusing. It is extensively used to evaluate the adhesion strength of fusing at Collars, cuffs, sheeting, aluminium foils, films etc.
Peel strength is the average load per unit width of bond line required to separate bonded materials where the angle of separation may be 90° or 180°. The equipment should be robustly constructed to determine the adhesive or bond strength between two materials. It has a long probe to hold the test specimen properly and accurately. The force gauge attached measure the force required to pull the bonded material layer from a base material in Kg/Newtons. The manual action allows fine positioning and better motion control to give reliable results.
